The New Moab Municipality was granted a loan from the Cities and Villages Development Bank to implement a project for the design, installation, connection, and operation of a 990 kVA solar power system via grid-tie, at a total cost of 755,166.8 Jordanian dinars.
The project aims to reduce annual electricity consumption costs, as it is expected to cover approximately 78% of the municipality's monthly electricity consumption. This will contribute to financial savings that can be reinvested in development and service projects that improve living standards and the quality of municipal services.
The project is environmentally friendly and has a sustainable positive impact on the municipality. The savings resulting from reduced energy costs will enhance its ability to launch new initiatives that create job opportunities for young people and support various segments of society. The project was implemented by the Jordanian Modern Energy Company.
